Yes—the week-long summer residential experience is a mandatory part of the LFA program and sets the foundation for your first year.

Yes. These seminars are an essential part of the year‑long experience and are designed to support your academic success, leadership development, and overall transition to UC Davis. Through the seminars, scholars build key skills such as study strategies, critical thinking, research development, and preparation for future academic and career pathways. Consistent participation in both seminars is expected as part of your commitment to the LFA Scholars Program

LFA is a structured, high-touch program with seminars, advising, study hours, and events designed to support your academic success.

Yes—scholars receive a $500 quarterly stipend to support program participation.
