The Black Pages: Community Engagement

Student Organizations

UC Davis has a wide variety of opportunities for students to engage with one another through student organizations and clubs. The Center for African Diaspora Student Success provides a list of some African diaspora student organizations on campus. These organizations are always changing. Please visit Aggie Life for current contact information and updated organization listings.

Sorority and Fraternity Life

The National Pan-Hellenic Council, or NPHC, serves as an umbrella organization for the historically African American sororities and fraternities at UC Davis. Chapters include Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Kappa Alpha Psi, Phi Beta Sigma and Zeta Phi Beta.

Aggie Black Excellence

Aggie Black Excellence celebrates Black history, Black futures and the contributions of those connected to the African diaspora at UC Davis. It affirms that Black excellence is integral to the university’s past, present, and future — while also creating opportunities for allies and the wider campus community to learn, connect, and grow.

Alumni Connections

The African and African American Alumni Association (5A) at UC Davis works to enhance the educational, personal and cultural development of African and African American students and alumni. Through charitable activities, social events, mentoring and educational opportunities, the African and African American Alumni group connects students with alumni to foster a vibrant UC Davis community. The network is open to all alumni, parents, students, staff/faculty and friends of UC Davis.
