National Association of Black Booksellers (NAB2) in partnership with UC DAVIS
The UC Davis Center for African Diaspora Student Success (CADSS) and the National Association of Black Bookstores are offering a paid summer internship for students interested in supporting and elevating Black owned bookstores country wide while gaining hands-on experience with a nonprofit.
Internship Details
- Stipend: $6,000
- Duration: 6–10 weeks
- Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students
- Location: preference for students local to the Sacramento Area; remote candidates will be considered. Limited travel required.
Internship Projects May Include
- Research on Black-owned bookstores nationwide
- Storytelling and content highlighting bookstore owners and authors
- Communications and social media initiatives
- Program development supporting literacy and community engagement
- Special projects tied to national campaigns and events
