- Center for African Diaspora Student Success
I’m honored to serve as the Associate Director of the Center for African Diaspora Student Success. I’m a proud first-generation college graduate of the University of California! As an undergraduate, I attended UC San Diego, where I studied and graduated with a bachelor's of arts in Ethnic Studies and a minor in Biology. I enjoyed the many jobs I had as a student and decided to work with college students right after college … and that turned into a career. I worked at UC San Diego supporting students at Thurgood Marshall College and later our Summer Bridge program. I earned my master’s degree from the Community-Based Block Program in multicultural counseling and social justice education from San Diego State University.
Alongside all the student and professional staff at CADSS, my role is to make sure that all students of the African Diaspora have the tools and resources they need to be their best selves at UC Davis and to graduate with a degree. Please let me know how I can partner with you. As a staff, my goal is to help you feel understood, connected, and supported, and to make the institution accessible to support your academic and co-curricular endeavors. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking, reading, playing board games, and connecting with friends and loved ones.
