Peer Advisor Office Hours and Study Jams

Kiara, the CADSS Peer Advisor will be offering Office Hours several days a week. She'll also be hosting Study Jams by class, subject, major and College. Be on the look out announcements. 

Chemistry, Math, Statistics, and Physics Tutoring 

All tutors will now be available via Zoom and in person to assist UC Davis students. Please check the website to begin scheduling appointments.

Writing Support Services

Come early, come often, and get help at any stage of the writing process:

  • Understanding the prompt and generating ideas
  • Developing, connecting and organizing ideas/arguments 
  • Identifying grammar error patterns and learning the rules to remedy them
  • Learning how to edit sentences to make them more concise

Session details/policies:

  • Sign up to work with a Writing Specialist, Writing Assistant or Tutor
    • Specialist appointments can last 45-50 minutes but are booked on the calendar as a 30-minute space.
    • Tutor appointments last 30 minutes.
  • You can book between 3-72 hours in advance: https://tutoring.ucdavis.edu/writing
  • If you select the drop-down menu, you can choose to work with Bridget Mabunga, the Writing Specialist who normally holds drop-in hours in CCLASS.
  • You can book an appointment for any type of writing (coursework, scholarship letters and personal statements through week 5 of Fall quarter)

Internship and Career Center

The ICC is providing services in a virtual and in person format and updating content and resources to address the changing employment landscape. Check our website for regular updates to find a job, internship or career position . You can schedule phone, video and in person advising appointments via Handshake, attend ICC workshops, and see who is hiring for part-time jobs via our “Quick hire” list.

CAN: Community Counselor 

We understand these can be difficult times to navigate, for this reason, we like to inform you that CADSS will continue to offer personal support via our partnership with CAN Counseling. Jon De Paul Dunbar, our CADSS CAN Counselor, will continue to be available to meet with you virtually and in person if you need support.
